The X Iberian Congress of Ichthyology SIBIC2024 https://sibic2024.org, with the title ‘Fishes for Future’, will take place in Catalonia on June 18-21, 2024: on Tuesday, June 18, there will be a preliminary session at Tortosa, together with the Life MigratoEbre project, and on the 19th-21st in Vic it will be at the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Engineering of the University of Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya.
The Tortosa session, which will also be the Final Conference of the Life MigratoEbre project https://www.migratoebre.eu, will be held at the headquarters of the Institute for the Development of the Ebro Regions (IDECE; Pl Gerard Vergés, 1). In the morning, political representatives, members of the project and international keynote speakers will take part. In the early afternoon, there will be a guided visit to two emblematic locations associated with actions developed as part of the Life MigratoEbre project: the new fish ramp at the Xerta weir and the sturgeons of the Aquaculture Center ‘IRTA a la Ràpìta.
This day is aimed at researchers, managers, students and other people interested in the subject.
